Luxury Garden Annexe & Full Landscape Redesign, Twickenham
The Client's Brief
The client envisioned a vast, multi-functional outdoor living space that required significant remodeling of their entire garden, culminating in a luxury garden room. The scope was extensive, requiring professional assistance with planning permission due to the size and location of the new structure. The garden room itself needed to house a full gym, a versatile TV room/teenagers' den, and a wellness suite complete with a sauna and shower room. The entire project demanded architectural and landscaping integration.
Our Bespoke Solution
This was a major project that began with our team successfully securing the necessary planning permission for the client. We then executed a complete garden redesign, focusing on preserving existing mature trees while introducing new, complimentary planting and significant landscaping features. A striking steel circle sculpture was installed to frame the entrance path leading to the rear of the garden.
The garden annexe was constructed on our reliable ground screw foundations. It was wrapped in premium Thermawood cladding, selected specifically for its elegant aesthetic and its characteristic ability to naturally silver over time, blending beautifully with the landscape. Inside, the space was zoned for maximum utility, including the fully serviced gym, entertainment lounge, and the high-spec sauna/shower room with a separate WC. The exterior was completed with an expansive area of durable Millboard composite decking and a dedicated covered dining area, transforming the entire back garden into a year-round destination.
The Outcome
This project represents the pinnacle of garden room integration. We successfully managed the complex planning and building requirements to deliver a large, beautiful, and highly functional annexe. The room provides dedicated zones for fitness, relaxation, and entertainment, while the full landscape redesign—from the steel feature to the new planting and Millboard decking—created a stunning, cohesive outdoor environment that significantly elevates the value and usability of the entire property.
